What is the Baby-Led Sleep Approach?

Baby-Led Sleep™ approach was created by Isla-Grace Sleep to place an emphasis on a mother’s instinct and a baby’s cues. Our mission is to help parents find sleep solutions through responsive parenting practices while building connected relationships. We are passionate about helping families improve sleep without resorting to sleep training, we have developed a program that:

  • respects and nurtures the attachment system;

  • supports the natural progression of development;

  • gives parents an understanding of what “normal” baby sleep looks like;

  • appreciates your baby’s still-developing brain and dominant survival instinct;

  • encourages parents to believe and to follow their own instincts; and

  • empowers a mother to make changes to improve the quality of her baby’s sleep.

Do you Sleep Train?

NO, I will never ever suggest any form of sleep training not even the "gentle" sleep training. I'm a firm believer of following your instincts and following your baby's lead when it comes to their sleep. There is absolutely no reason to sleep train a baby. 
If you are looking for a quick fix for your baby's sleep "problems", then I am not the right sleep Coach for you. I'm here to find the root causes to your baby's sleep challenges and I will refer out to other specialists if it is needed.

I have a toddler, can I get sleep support as well?

Yes! I help babies and toddlers from 0-36 months.

​How do I know which package is for me? 

I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation and we can figure out which package will work best for you and your family.

I don't breastfeed or bed-share, can you still help me?

Yes, absolutely! Every family is unique and different, and I'm here to support all families, no matter what your current feeding or sleeping arrangements are.

Will it work?

I can not guarantee that it will work. I'm not a sleep trainer, so I will never guarantee that my approach will get your baby sleeping through the night in 3 days or 14 days, that is not my goal or intention as a Baby-Led Sleep Coach. My goal is to support your sleep journey that you have with your baby and to find the root cause. My intention is to keep your attachment relationship with your child intact. 
This is not a quick fix to your sleep challenge, it will take time and patience because each baby is unique and we have to adapt around the baby's needs.
My purpose is to help you find the solution to whatever challenge you are experiencing, such as split nights, reduce night feedings/wakings, false starts, transitions to crib and etc.  
If I can't find a solution to your sleep challenge, I will refer you to other specialists (pediatric dentist, naturopath etc).

What families do you work with?

I work with all families. I'm inclusive of any type of family; whether you are LGBTQ, an adoptive family, a single parent, a working family etc. All families are welcome at Primal Baby Sleep.
